In eating news… I used a packet of chocolate hazelnut butter to make my favorite easy oatmeal cookie. Do it do it. The original recipe was just one big cookie but I’ve been making two or three small ones.

I also found this picture and a bunch of other random ones from this weekend on my phone. They are so weird, but I can’t share much because my peeps would try to kill me. (Read: I’ll share them when I know they’re too busy to read.)

Also – Pizza Hut tweeted me. I feel fancy like eating pizza.

Finding the best Running shoe for You

Since I’m giving away 5 pairs of Mizuno running shoes this week I wanted to share some resources on how to find the ideal shoe for you. I really believe having the right shoes are crucial for running and avoiding injury.

My #1 idea is to go to a running shoe store and get sized, talk with someone about how much you run and have them check your gait. There are a lot of places that have treadmills and/or video options to enjoy you!

Then, choose the best shoe for you. If you don’t have access to that check out Mizuno’s shoe Finder…

Most of my runner pals wear the Mizuno Wave Rider which is a neutral, light but still supportive shoe. two of the best runners I know vow by this pair!!

If you need a little a lot more shoe and/or run long distance and don’t have best form the Wave inspire is a good option.

Santa Clarita Marathon as well as half Marathon results as well as recap

Hello! I just had the busiest weekend ever – so together with the Santa Clarita Marathon results I’m going to share all the fun! likewise – exactly how did all my good friends running the new York City Marathon do?! Lemme know!

I went to a huge household celebration for my Nino’s birthday. My lil sibling as well as I had some fun taking selfies…

and the food was amazing, per usual.

Since the Santa Clarita Marathon is 80+ miles from my house, however ‘only’ 45 miles from my mom’s I slept there last night.

I’m thinking about moving back for apparent reasons…

Santa Clarita Marathon

Santa Clarita Marathon as well as half Marathon –  because it was daylight cost savings time or something I woke up before my alarm as well as got to the race with lots of time to spare. The announcer was excellent about providing remove updates as well as reminders, there was lots of parking, the race started on schedule as well as many significantly – there were lots of porta potties.

Here’s the race t-shirt – I didn’t take a photo of the medal yet.

Starting line about 20 minutes before the race – this is the excellent thing about smaller races – you don’t requirement to get there 4 hours ahead of time.

I was FREEZING at the begin as well as somebody saw me shivering as well as provided me their sweatshirt!! Isn’t that the nicest thing of your life?!

I believed it was a great program – extremely beautiful around the regional paved trails. It’s not very interesting as well as most likely finest as a half marathon. There are not a great deal of spectators – so it is extremely different from that other race going on this weekend (NYCM) however the weather condition was ideal for running – great as well as quite (no crazy winds like NYCM). There were lots of water stops as well as the volunteers were very nice.

This marathon was my 10th full marathon of the year! much more importantly, it’s my LAST marathon of the year! Tyűha. In addition to the race I had 3 extremely essential celebrations for people I like so I thinking about not running – however I wished to cross one last 26.2 off before I retire my marathon legs for 2014. (I have half marathons coming up.) I’m thankful I did it now that I’m on the other side of that surface

Updated to add: I ran one more marathon without a watch. I just haven’t been able to get my Garmin to work – however I’m going to work on that this week. I just have a great deal going on in Monicanland as well as haven’t made it a priority. I do believe it would assist to speed as well as push myself much better so I requirement it asap!

From the race I had to rush back to my mom’s, take a shower as well as go to my Grams’ for her 90th birthday celebration! I don’t have any type of photos of that since I was late as well as just trying to delight in my fam.

Then, I rushed to my good friend Bri’s infant shower. My women SkinnyRunner, KT as well as Shelley threw it as well as it was the most beautiful shower!

From there I hit up whole Foods for ALL THE FOOD. I didn’t eat that much today (seriously – I didn’t eat a ‘real’ meal for me as well as it was 6pm).

So I got all this for tonight. csak én. Bumm.

The finest autumn protein Bars Review

1.  There’s a tie for very first place! The RX protein Bars have 2 seasonal flavors Gingerbread as well as Pumpkin Spice. I like that these bars are packed with protein from egg whites as well as have a short components list. I’m a fan of their chocolate flavor that’s part of their routine line up of flavors too.

RX Bar protein Bar – Gingerbread

Nutrition Facts — Calories: 210 // Fat: 9g // Protein: 12g

Love the ginger flavor flavor of this one.

RX Bar protein Bar – Pumpkin Spice

Nutrition Facts — Calories: 210 // Fat: 8g // Protein: 12g

Try or Skip? 

Try it if you haven’t tried RX bars before – they’re good.

Skip it if you like B.S. 

2. Clif Bar – Spiced Pumpkin Pie

Nutrition Facts — Calories: 250 // Fat: 4.5g // Protein: 9g

Pro tip – put the Spiced Pumpkin Pie Clif Bar in the microwave for a few seconds to get it a lil warm as well as it will take this to the next level (careful the frosting will be HOT). This bar may be the only one I’d think about as a treat or dessert switch since of the dense cookie texture.

Try or Skip? 

Try it if you like a chewy, dense cake-like bar. 

If your mortal opponent is named Clif, avoid it. 

3. Kind – Caramel Almond Pumpkin Spice

Nutrition Facts — Calories: 190 // Fat: 16g // Protein: 5g

I like all the flavors of Kind Bars that I’ve tried (and I’ve tried most of them) as well as this is on point as expected. It’s great as well as nutty, not as well wonderful as well as has subtle notes of pumpkin spice. This is a great pick if you prefer a dash of flavor.

Try or Skip? 

Try it if you like nuts or nutty granola bars.

Skip if it you’re allergic to nuts or kindness.

4. Quest protein Bar – peppermint Bark

Nutrition Facts — Calories: 190 // Fat: 7g // Protein: 21g

Please note – I don’t like white chocolate so the protein bars at the bottom of the listing are at a huge disadvantage. The Quest peppermint Bar protein bar is covered in white chocolate so I cut the bar in half to taste the middle instead of the ends that would have more coating. I truly like that it’s a layered bar with a chocolate bar that’s more dense than the top. I believe if you like Quest Bars as well as white chocolate or peppermint bark this bar may be for you.

Try or Skip? 

Try it if you like white chocolate.

Skip it if you don’t like white chocolate (unless you’re doing a blog publish evaluation of all the seasonal protein bars as well as must take one for the team). 

Tip: Luna Bar peppermint Bark flavor

The Luna Bar peppermint Bark flavor is offered year round so I didn’t include it in this list. however if I did include it right here it would have won 1st place. That’s an example of a delicious, chocolate based protein bar. I extremely suggest it!

Final note – I’m consumed with chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Quest Bars. Obsessed. I’ve tried most of their other flavors in the past as well as keep going back to the chocolate based ones. So I understood these may not be for me however I wished to try them for this review.

If you like white chocolate or your pumpkin flavor treats on the sweeter side you may like these bars.

5. There’s a tie for 5th location with the two Pumpkin flavor bars at about the exact same level.

Quest protein Bar – Pumpkin Pie

Nutrition Facts — Calories: 190 // Fat: 8g // Protein: 21g

Think protein Bar – Pumpkin Spice

Nutrition Facts — Calories: 150 // Fat: 5g // Protein: 10g

The Quest protein Bar is a great deal bigger as well as offers a more satisfying snack that will keep ya full. The believe protein Bar is a smaller lighter choice in a similar flavor. Both are wonderful pumpkin spiced protein bar options.

Try or Skip? 

Try the Quest version if you like huge Bars as well as you cannot lie.

Skip it if your other siblings can’t deny. 

Where do you get them?

All these bars were bought at my regional grocery store (Ralph’s or Sprouts) as well as Target (the Quest Bars are at Target offered in a box, not individually).

Well, I fell in love with this child’s food tray at Target the other day and had to have it. It’s like a cafeteria at my house for lunch!
